One-way and immediate. You keep up with someone without needing an answer.
Connect
A request the other person accepts. It becomes a two-way link.
A connection request expires after 30 days without an answer. If you
withdraw one, you have to wait 60 days before asking the same person
again.
How to find people
- By searching — by name or username
- Through suggestions — people who play your sport, live in your city, share connections with you, or have similar availability
- From your contacts — Matchely checks which of your contacts already use the app
Contact import exists only in the phone app, not in the browser. Phone
numbers are sent scrambled, and it is only used to find who is already on
Matchely.
Suggestions come in sections
Under My network, suggested people arrive grouped by the strongest reason you might know each other — Played with people you played with, From the same competition, Connections you may know, Near you, New here and Suggested for you. Each card states its own reason, and an empty section does not show. A full section offers See all, which opens the whole list for that reason.Near you is geography — only people in your city. Someone who plays your
sport or is at a similar level but lives far away shows under Suggested for
you.
Another player’s profile
Opening someone shows their level per sport, their statistics, and their match history — including your head-to-head record, if you have played each other.Your head-to-head with someone is always free. Seeing the head-to-head
between two other players is a PRO feature.
