A friendly is a match you arranged yourselves and record in Matchely. It belongs to no competition, but it counts toward your history, your statistics, and your level.
A friendly is always a match that already happened. The wizard does not accept a future date — to arrange a match, sort it out in chat and record it afterwards.

How to record one

1

Pick the sport

Only the sports on your profile appear.
2

Build the teams

In singles, you and your opponent. In doubles, your partner and the opposing pair. Search each person by name — people already in your network come up first.
3

Say where it was

The venue. If your court is not on the map, use Can’t find the place? Enter it manually — small clubs and residential courts rarely are.
4

How it ended

Finished (you played it out) or Retired (someone stopped midway).
5

Date, time, and score

When it happened and the score set by set. A review screen closes it out.

People without an account

You can include someone who is not on Matchely yet. The match sits waiting for the guest and does not count until they accept.
The guest invitation is valid for 14 days, with reminders along the way. If it expires, their slot disappears — and if no real opponent remains, the match is deleted.

After you record it

Your opponent has to validate it. You have 7 days: with no validation, the match is deleted.

Reporting the result

How to enter it, who validates, and what changes in your ranking.

Import old matches

Bring your history in from screenshots and spreadsheets at once.
