Anyone who played before joining Matchely usually has years of results
scattered across group screenshots and spreadsheets. The point of importing is
to bring it all in at once instead of entering match by match.
Importing is turned off. It is not available to the public while the team
rebuilds how the files are read, which is why there is no shortcut to it under
My matches. This page describes how the feature is meant to work once it
is back. Until then, the way to bring an old match in is to
record it as a friendly.
Matchely reads it and tries to identify players, dates, and scores.

Check what it understood
Similar names are matched to the right players; anything uncertain comes up
for you to fix.

Each match is created as a pending friendly, waiting for the opponent to
validate.
Imported matches arrive as pending and follow the same friendly rule: 7
days for the opponent to validate, or they are deleted. Give people a
heads-up before importing a large batch.
People without a Matchely account get an invitation to claim their matches.
Import covers singles matches.

Responses are generated using AI and may contain mistakes.
